New Video Bookbinding and haul

There is a new unboxing video over on my YouTube Channel. I am unboxing a bookbinding kit  (Affiliate Link) It is listed as a leather sewing kit but the supplies are perfect for bookbinding. In this video I am giving my initial reaction to the supplies included.

10 x upholstery thread cord 

6 x leather waxed thread cord

My plan is to use the waxed thread to make journal with exposed coptic binding and use the upholstery thread for journal with hidden binding. I am really excited about the 6 curved needles as I really want to do the 4 needle coptic binding. 

Because this new kit has me so excited to make more journals I stopped by my local library which is just across the street from my studio and picked up some very old books from the book sale and I can't wait to get started. I love all the beautiful covers that I picked up, and it supports the library as well.
